Canonical URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Sosay > Markdown URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Sosay.md > Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sosay > Source revision: 1336964721 > License: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) **Jennifer Elaine Kaiser**[2] (born January 6, 1980)[1] is an American [artist](/source/Artist), [model](/source/Model_(person)), [trainer](/source/Personal_trainer), and retired [professional wrestler](/source/Professional_wrestler).[4] She is best known for her time with [Ohio Valley Wrestling](/source/Ohio_Valley_Wrestling) under the [ring name](/source/Ring_name) **Sosay** (pronounced So-Say). ## Early life Growing up in Southwest [Michigan](/source/Michigan), Kaiser lived with her parents and four brothers on an old working farm along with multiple cats, dogs and horses.[3][5] After graduating from high school, Kaiser began studying at both [Michigan State University](/source/Michigan_State_University) and [Loyola University of Chicago](/source/Loyola_University_of_Chicago) before graduating with degrees in [pre-law](/source/Pre-law) and [studio art](/source/Studio_art).[3][5][6] While studying at Loyola, Kaiser began training to become a [professional wrestler](/source/Professional_wrestler). ## Professional wrestling career ### Debut Kaiser made her professional wrestling debut in April 2003 and began competing for [Windy City Pro Wrestling](/source/Windy_City_Pro_Wrestling).[3] While in WCPW, she would defeat Sandra D to win the Ladies Championship before later vacating the title to further her art and personal training careers.[7] ### Ohio Valley Wrestling (2003–2007, 2013) Following her stint in Windy City Pro Wrestling, Kaiser moved to [Louisville, Kentucky](/source/Louisville,_Kentucky), before the end of 2003 and joined Ohio Valley Wrestling. She debuted for the promotion under the name ring name Sosay, where she became a member of Kenny Bolin's [stable](/source/Glossary_of_professional_wrestling_terms#Stable) Bolin Services and became the "personal secretary" and later the [storyline](/source/Kayfabe) girlfriend of [Ken Doane](/source/Ken_Doane).[2][8] Soon after debuting, Sosay began [feuding](/source/Feud_(professional_wrestling)) with [Maria](/source/Maria_Kanellis),[9][10] which culminated in a match on October 29 that ended in a no contest.[11] Following this, Sosay would later have brief feuds with [Trinity](/source/Stephanie_Finochio) and [Shelly Martinez](/source/Shelly_Martinez).[3] When Doane debuted on [World Wrestling Entertainment's main roster](/source/List_of_WWE_personnel), Sosay soon became the "publicist" for [Jack Bull](/source/Gregg_Groothuis), who began using a stuntman [gimmick](/source/Glossary_of_professional_wrestling_terms#Gimmick). The two later engaged in a feud with [Joey Mercury](/source/Joey_Mercury), which saw Bull losing to Mercury on November 5. Bull then challenged Mercury to a [drinking contest](/source/Binge_drinking), which Bull won. On November 29, Bull attempted an escape stunt involving chains, but was soon [struck with a chair](/source/Professional_wrestling_attacks#Chair_shot) by Mercury before he performed a [double underhook DDT](/source/Double_underhook_DDT) on Sosay, injuring her [in storyline](/source/Kayfabe).[2][3] On December 20, Bull, without Sosay, defeated Mercury in a grudge match. Sosay later returned to OVW on January 13, 2007, and resumed her role as Bull's publicist as he took part in a "test of strength" against Charles Evans and [Justin LaRouche](/source/Justin_LaRouche).[3] However, both Evans and LaRouche attacked Bull and then attempted to attack Sosay until [Idol Stevens](/source/Idol_Stevens) [saved](/source/Glossary_of_professional_wrestling_terms#Run-in) her. On January 17, Evans and LaRouche defeated Bull and [Atlas DaBone](/source/Atlas_DaBone) in a [tag team](/source/Tag_team) match with Sosay at ringside. However, Sosay's association with Bull was ended only two days later when he was released from his developmental contract.[12][13] After competing in a few Miss OVW contests, Sosay wrestled what would be the final match in her full-time active wrestling career, as she teamed with [Beth Phoenix](/source/Beth_Phoenix) and [Katie Lea](/source/Katie_Lea) in a winning effort to [Serena](/source/Serena_Deeb), [Victoria Crawford](/source/Victoria_Crawford) and [Maryse](/source/Maryse_Ouellet) in a six-woman tag team [dark match](/source/Glossary_of_professional_wrestling_terms#Dark_match) on April 25, 2007.[2][14] After a six-year hiatus from professional wrestling, Sosay made a one-time return to OVW on April 13, 2013, where she was defeated by [Jessie Belle](/source/Jessie_Belle) in a dark match.[15] ### Retirement (2013) Soon after her one-time return to OVW, Sosay wrestled at 6 Corners BBQ Fest in [Chicago](/source/Chicago) for Pro Wrestling Experience on June 15, 2013, where she teamed with [Tony Atlas](/source/Tony_Atlas) to defeat [Melanie Cruise](/source/Melanie_Cruise) and Robo De Luna in a mixed tag team match.[15] Following this, Kaiser retired from professional wrestling to focus on her art and personal training careers.[4] ## Championships and accomplishments - **[Windy City Pro Wrestling](/source/Windy_City_Pro_Wrestling)** - - [WCPW Ladies Championship](/source/WCPW_Ladies_Championship) ([1 time](/source/WCPW_Ladies_Championship#Title_history))[7] ## References 1.
