It is located on the southeastern shore of the large lake [Femunden](/source/Femunden), about {{convert|14|km}} west of the border with [Sweden](/source/Sweden). The village of [Drevsjø](/source/Drevsj%C3%B8) lies about {{convert|10|km}} to the southeast of Sorken.
