The '''solano''' is an easterly to south-easterly [wind](/source/wind), a regional variation or extension of the [sirocco](/source/sirocco) that refers to the relative position between the [North Africa](/source/North_Africa)n coast and southern [Spain](/source/Spain) and not any of the other countries around the [Mediterranean Sea](/source/Mediterranean_Sea).
