How's Your Girl?*** is the debut studio album by [Handsome Boy Modeling School](/source/Handsome_Boy_Modeling_School).[3] It was released on [Tommy Boy Records](/source/Tommy_Boy_Records) on October 19, 1999.[4] The band's name is taken from an episode of the sitcom *[Get A Life](/source/Get_a_Life_(American_TV_series))*, where the star [Chris Elliott](/source/Chris_Elliott) attempts to become a model. Many tracks on the album sample this episode.

## Reception

At [Metacritic](/source/Metacritic), which assigns a weighted average score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, *So... How's Your Girl?* received an average score of 79 out of 100 based on 13 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews".[4]

It ranked at number 5 on *[Spin](/source/Spin_(magazine))'*s "Top 20 Albums of the Year" list.[5]
