Snugburys makes over 35 flavours of ice cream. In addition to ice cream production, Snugburys also regularly produces large sculptures made of steel-reinforced straw.

The business was founded in 1986.<ref name="snugburys" /> It was converted from a dairy farm to an ice cream factory by Chris and Cheryl Sadler.<ref name="StokeSentinel_16Feb16" /> It opened a new ice cream shop in the barn on the site in 2011,<ref name="snugburys_shop" /> and has three [ice cream van](/source/ice_cream_van)s.<ref name="snugburys_events" /> They opened an ice cream parlour in the Lakeside Cafe at [Trentham Estate](/source/Trentham_Estate) in 2016.<ref name="StokeSentinel_29Mar16" /> Snugburys produces around 35 flavours of ice cream,<ref name="snugburys_flavours" /> which have included flavours like damson and [sloe gin](/source/sloe_gin) and toffee crumble.<ref name="Telegraph_8Oct12" /><ref name="Nantwich_31Jul15" />

The business was taken over by the Sadlers' daughters Hannah, Kitty, and Cleo when their parents retired in 2016;<ref name="StokeSentinel_16Feb16" /> the sisters became directors of the company in November 2015.

== Straw sculptures ==
Snugburys has been making straw sculptures since 1998, when its first straw sculpture portrayed the [Millennium Dome](/source/Millennium_Dome).<ref name="atlas" /><ref name="Chronicle_18Sep12" /> The sculptures are reinforced with steel, and are constructed to attract visitors to the farm and to raise money for charity.<ref name="StokeSentinel_9Aug16" /> In 2015 the [Guinness Book of Records](/source/Guinness_Book_of_Records) included mention of Snugbury's straw Dalek as the "Largest Dalek sculpture".<ref name="Guinness2015" /> The sculptures are created by Mike Harper of Harbrook Engineering.<ref name="Cheshire_14Jul19" />
