**Sleman** is a *[kapanewon](/source/List_of_districts_of_the_Special_Region_of_Yogyakarta)* (administrative district) and the seat capital of [Sleman Regency](/source/Sleman_Regency), [Special Region of Yogyakarta](/source/Special_Region_of_Yogyakarta), Indonesia. It is on the road between [Yogyakarta](/source/Yogyakarta) and [Magelang](/source/Magelang). Sleman consists of five villages, namely Caturharjo, Pandowoharjo, Tridadi, Triharjo, and Trimulyo.

It was also a stopping place on the railway that followed the same route, but is currently inactive.

## Climate

Sleman has a [tropical monsoon climate](/source/Tropical_monsoon_climate) (Am) with moderate to little rainfall from June to September and heavy to very heavy rainfall from October to May.
