**Slaine Kelly** (born 9 July 1982) is an [Irish](/source/Irish_people) television and film [actress](/source/Actress).[1] Her first role was on the Irish short film *Ouch* directed by Ken Wardrop. She then went on to play a small part in *George* directed by Rory Bresnihan & John Butler the short stars [Amy Huberman](/source/Amy_Huberman) and [Hugh O'Conor](/source/Hugh_O'Conor). Both shorts won a nomination for the Best Short Fiction Award at the [Irish Film and Television Awards](/source/Irish_Film_and_Television_Awards) in [2005](/source/The_3rd_Annual_Irish_Film_%26_Television_Awards_2005). She is best known for her role as [Jane Howard](/source/Jane_Neville) in *[The Tudors](/source/The_Tudors_(TV_series))*.

## Career

Kelly has had roles in several Irish comedy shorts, including *Mebollix* directed by [Simon Gibney](/source/Simon_Gibney), *The Bet* directed by Philip Lewis with Paddy C. Courtney in the lead role in both films.[citation needed]

She played the lead[when?] in the [Barry's Tea](/source/Barry's_Tea) commercial filmed in Ireland and [Thailand](/source/Thailand). The 60 second commercial was directed by [British Academy Television Award](/source/British_Academy_Television_Award) winning director [Declan Lowney](/source/Declan_Lowney).[2]

Kelly starred in the February 2009 Music video for [British](/source/United_Kingdom) [indie](/source/Indie_music)-[pop](/source/Pop_music) band [New Rhodes](/source/New_Rhodes) which was directed by [Matthias Hoene](/source/Matthias_Hoene).[3]

Kelly featured in the short film *Missed Connections*, which was the winner of the Best Mid-Length Film award at the Zero Film Festival in New York City, in November 2010.[4]

She played the role of Suzie in *Koda*,[5] which screened at the Rushes Soho Short Festival, [London](/source/London),[6] Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, [Los Angeles](/source/Los_Angeles)[7] and The Oldenburg Film festival, [Germany](/source/Germany).[8] *Koda* stars [Jenny Agutter](/source/Jenny_Agutter) and [Michael Maloney](/source/Michael_Maloney).

Kelly also plays a young Anarchists in [British](/source/United_Kingdom) [horror](/source/Horror_film) *[Psychosis](/source/Psychosis_(film))* directed by [Reg Traviss](/source/Reg_Traviss).[citation needed]
