The [Canadian Film Centre](/source/Canadian_Film_Centre) opened the **Slaight Family Music Lab** in 2013, sponsored by the [Slaight Family Foundation](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Slaight_Family_Foundation&action=edit&redlink=1).[1] Every year a small group of promising composers and song-writers are invited to study under a distinguished composer.
