# Slab Point

**Slab Point** is a rocky point on the northwest coast of [Varna Peninsula](/source/Varna_Peninsula), [Livingston Island](/source/Livingston_Island) in the [South Shetland Islands](/source/South_Shetland_Islands), [Antarctica](/source/Antarctica) forming the north side of the entrance to [Eliseyna Cove](/source/Eliseyna_Cove) and the south side of the entrance to [Charybdis Cove](/source/Charybdis_Cove).

The feature is descriptively named from the ice cliffs bounding it to the south.

## Location

The point is located at [62°28′50.5″S 60°09′49.1″W](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=62_28_50.5_S_60_09_49.1_W) which is 3.17 km northeast of [Kotis Point](/source/Kotis_Point), 1.5 km southeast of [Balsha Island](/source/Balsha_Island), 800 m south of [Zavala Island](/source/Zavala_Island), 1.23 km southwest of [Organpipe Point](/source/Organpipe_Point) and 3.47 km south-southwest of [Williams Point](/source/Williams_Point) (British mapping in 1968, and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009).
