**Skene Bay** is an Arctic waterway in the [Qikiqtaaluk Region](/source/Qikiqtaaluk_Region), [Nunavut](/source/Nunavut), Canada. Located off southern [Melville Island](/source/Melville_Island_(Northwest_Territories_and_Nunavut)), the bay is an arm of [Viscount Melville Sound](/source/Viscount_Melville_Sound).

It is named after Lieutenant Edward Monte Skene who served on [Arctic](/source/Arctic) expeditions with Sir [John Ross](/source/John_Ross_(explorer)) in 1818, and with Sir [William Edward Parry](/source/William_Edward_Parry) in 1819.[2][3]
