**Sjur Loen** (born 19 May 1958, in [Oppdal Municipality](/source/Oppdal_Municipality)) is a [Norwegian](/source/Norway) [curler](/source/Curling) and world champion. He participated on the winning team in the [demonstration event at the 1988 Winter Olympics](/source/Curling_at_the_1988_Winter_Olympics).[1]

## International championships

Loen is two times world champion, and has received four bronze medals at the world championships. He received a bronze medal as skip at the [1976](/source/1976_World_Junior_Curling_Championships) [World Junior Curling Championships](/source/World_Junior_Curling_Championships), and reached the bronze final in [1977](/source/1977_World_Junior_Curling_Championships) (losing to the United States), [1978](/source/1978_World_Junior_Curling_Championships) (losing to Scotland) and [1979](/source/1979_World_Junior_Curling_Championships) (losing to Canada).

Loen has obtained one victory at the [European Curling Championships](/source/European_Curling_Championships), two silver medals and three bronze medals.[2]
