**Simon Currant**, [AM](/source/Honorary_Member_of_the_Order_of_Australia) is a tourism developer in [Tasmania](/source/Tasmania), Australia. He has served as a director of [Tourism Industry Council Tasmania](/source/Tourism_Industry_Council_Tasmania) and as a director of [Spirit of Tasmania](/source/Spirit_of_Tasmania).[1][2][3]

His past tourism developments include the Strahan Village, Cradle Mountain Lodge, [Peppermint Bay](/source/Peppermint_Bay) and [Pumphouse Point](/source/Lake_St_Clair_(Tasmania)).

He was awarded a [Centenary Medal](/source/Centenary_Medal) in 2001,[4] [Tasmanian of the Year](/source/Tasmanian_of_the_Year) in 2004[5] and appointed an honorary Member of the [Order of Australia](/source/Order_of_Australia) in 2006.[6]
