The '''Silyap Range''' ({{langx|ru|Силяпский хребет}}; {{langx|sah|Силэп}}) is a mountain range in the [Sakha Republic](/source/Sakha_Republic) (Yakutia), [Far Eastern Federal District](/source/Far_Eastern_Federal_District), [Russia](/source/Russia). The nearest city is [Ust-Nera](/source/Ust-Nera).<ref name="MFUN">[https://www.researchgate.net/publication/327203529_Moss_flora_of_the_Ust-Nera_region_in_the_upper_course_of_Indigirka_River_East_Yakutia Moss flora of the Ust-Nera region in the upper course of Indigirka River, East Yakutia]</ref>

==Geography==
The Silyap Range rises in the central area of the [Chersky Range](/source/Chersky_Range), to the west of the upper course of the [Indigirka](/source/Indigirka).<ref>[http://arctoa.ru/ru/Archive-ru/27_2/Arctoa27_157_163.pdf A Contribution to the Liverwort Flora of the Upper Course of Indigirka River, East Yakutia]</ref> Although the range is one of the smallest of the system, it has some of the most massive mountains of the range. The Silyap Range stretches in a roughly west–east direction for about {{convert|100|km|sp=us}}. The highest peak is {{convert|2690|m|ft}} high [Mount Chyon](/source/Mount_Chyon) (Гора Чён), also known as "Gora Chen", an [ultra-prominent peak](/source/ultra-prominent_peak).<ref>[http://ridgesrussia.ru/?news=36 Массив Чен]</ref>

The larger [Borong Range](/source/Borong_Range), another subrange of the Chersky Mountains, rises to the northwest, and the [Porozhny Range](/source/Porozhny_Range) to the north. The northern end of the [Tas-Kystabyt](/source/Tas-Kystabyt) rises roughly 70 km to the south of the range.<ref name="GЕ">[Google Earth](/source/Google_Earth)</ref><ref name=STM>{{cite web|url=https://maps.vlasenko.net/smtm1000/p-53_54.jpg|title=P-53_54 Chart (in Russian)|access-date=10 May 2023}}</ref>
