[http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/viewer/ The National Map], accessed April 1, 2011</ref> river that flows through the towns of [Norwalk](/source/Norwalk%2C_Connecticut), [Wilton](/source/Wilton%2C_Connecticut), [New Canaan](/source/New_Canaan%2C_Connecticut) and [Ridgefield, Connecticut](/source/Ridgefield%2C_Connecticut).  It is spanned by the 1899 [Perry Avenue Bridge](/source/Perry_Avenue_Bridge) in the [Silvermine neighborhood](/source/Silvermine%2C_Connecticut), and by the [Silvermine River Bridge](/source/Silvermine_River_Bridge) that carries the [Merritt Parkway](/source/Merritt_Parkway).
