'''Sielmingen''' is a former municipality in the [Esslingen](/source/Esslingen_(district)) district, in [Baden-Württemberg](/source/Baden-W%C3%BCrttemberg), [Germany](/source/Germany).

It was first recorded in year 1275 as ''Sygehelmingen''.

In 1975 it was merged with the municipalities [Bernhausen](/source/Bernhausen), [Bonlanden](/source/Bonlanden), [Plattenhardt](/source/Plattenhardt) and [Harthausen](/source/Harthausen%2C_Baden-W%C3%BCrttemberg) to form the new town [Filderstadt](/source/Filderstadt). Sielmingen is today a quartier of that town, formally named '''Filderstadt-Sielmingen'''. It has 7,566 inhabitants.
