The moshav was founded in 1950 by [Jewish refugees](/source/Jewish_exodus_from_Arab_and_Muslim_countries) from [Yemen](/source/Mutawakkilite_Kingdom_Of_Yemen), with the name taken from a passage in the Book of [Psalms](/source/Psalms) 92:13: "They are planted in the house of the Lord, they flourish in the courts of our God."<ref name="mapa">{{Cite book
