**Shani Hazan** ([Hebrew](/source/Hebrew_language): שני חזן; born (1992-09-15)September 15, 1992) is an Israeli model, singer and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned [Miss Israel](/source/Miss_Israel) 2012 and subsequently competed in the [Miss World 2012](/source/Miss_World_2012) pageant representing her homeland.[1] She also represented Israel at [Miss International 2014](/source/Miss_International_2014).[2][3] Thus, Hazan is the only Miss Israel who represented her country in two worldwide beauty pageants.

Hazan was born in Israel, and raised in the city of [Kiryat Ata](/source/Kiryat_Ata), to a family of [Moroccan Jewish](/source/Moroccan_Jews) descent.[4]

She was a 19-year-old sailor serving in the [Israeli Navy](/source/Israeli_Navy) of the [Israel Defense Forces](/source/Israel_Defense_Forces), when she participated in the contest earning her the Miss Israel title.[5]
