**Shane Boland** (born 1994) is an Irish [hurler](/source/Hurling). At club level, he plays with [Tooreen](/source/Tooreen_GAA) while at inter-county level he lines out with the [Mayo senior hurling team](/source/Mayo_senior_hurling_team).

## Career

Boland plays his club hurling with the [Tooreen](/source/Tooreen_GAA) club. After winning a Mayo JHC title with the club in 2013, he went on to win eight [Mayo SHC](/source/Mayo_Senior_Hurling_Championship) medals between 2013 and 2024. Boland also won five [Connacht Club IHC](/source/Connacht_Intermediate_Club_Hurling_Championship) medals during this period, while he was also part of the Tooreen team beaten by [Monaleen](/source/Monaleen_GAA) in the [2023 All-Ireland IHC club final](/source/2022%E2%80%9323_All-Ireland_Intermediate_Club_Hurling_Championship#All-Ireland_final).[1][2]

Boland made his [Mayo senior hurling team](/source/Mayo_senior_hurling_team) debut in 2014. He had his first success two years later when Mayo won the [Nicky Rackard Cup](/source/Nicky_Rackard_Cup) club after a 2-16 to 1-15 defeat of [Armagh](/source/Armagh_GAA) in the [final](/source/2016_Nicky_Rackard_Cup#Final).[3] Boland claimed a [National League Division 2B](/source/National_Hurling_League#Division_2B) title two years later before adding a second Rackard Cup medal to his collection in 2021.[4][5] After moving up a grade, he [captained](/source/Captain_(Gaelic_games)) the team when they were beaten by [Kildare](/source/Kildare_GAA) in the [2022 Christy Ring Cup final](/source/2022_Christy_Ring_Cup#Final).[6] Boland won a [National League Division 3A](/source/National_Hurling_League#Division_3) medal in 2024.[7]
