**Shakera Casandra Selman** (born 1 September 1989) is a Barbadian [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who plays as a right-arm [medium](/source/Fast_bowling) [bowler](/source/Bowling_(cricket)).[1] In October 2018, [Cricket West Indies](/source/Cricket_West_Indies) (CWI) awarded her a women's contract for the 2018–19 season.[2][3] Later the same month, she was named in the West Indies' squad for the [2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20](/source/2018_ICC_Women's_World_Twenty20) tournament in the West Indies.[4][5] In January 2020, she was named in West Indies' squad for the [2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup](/source/2020_ICC_Women's_T20_World_Cup) in Australia.[6] In May 2021, Selman was awarded with a central contract from [Cricket West Indies](/source/Cricket_West_Indies).[7] She plays domestic cricket for [Barbados](/source/Barbados_women's_national_cricket_team) and [Barbados Royals](/source/Barbados_Royals_(WCPL)), and has previously played for [Surrey](/source/Surrey_Women_cricket_team), [Trailblazers](/source/IPL_Trailblazers) and [Supernovas](/source/IPL_Supernovas).[8]

In October 2021, she was named in the West Indies team for the [2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier](/source/2021_Women's_Cricket_World_Cup_Qualifier) tournament in Zimbabwe.[9] In February 2022, she was named in the West Indies team for the [2022 Women's Cricket World Cup](/source/2022_Women's_Cricket_World_Cup) in New Zealand.[10] In July 2022, she was named in the [Barbados team](/source/Barbados_women's_national_cricket_team) for the [cricket tournament](/source/Cricket_at_the_2022_Commonwealth_Games) at the [2022 Commonwealth Games](/source/2022_Commonwealth_Games) in [Birmingham](/source/Birmingham), England.[11] In January 2024, Selman announced her retirement from international cricket, along with three other West Indies' cricketers including [Anisa Mohammed](/source/Anisa_Mohammed) and twin sisters [Kycia](/source/Kycia_Knight) and [Kyshona Knight](/source/Kyshona_Knight).[12]
