# Shailendra Kumar

**Shailendra Kumar Pasi** (born 25 July 1960) is an Indian politician belonging to the [Jansatta Dal (Loktantrik)](/source/Jansatta_Dal_(Loktantrik)). He was three times member of [Lok Sabha](/source/Lok_Sabha) from the [Kaushambi constituency](/source/Kaushambi_Lok_Sabha_constituency) (2009–2014) & [Chail constituency](/source/Chail_Lok_Sabha_constituency) (1998–99) & (2004–2009) in [Uttar Pradesh](/source/Uttar_Pradesh) from the [Samajwadi Party](/source/Samajwadi_Party). He has been a [Member of the Legislative Assembly](/source/Member_of_the_Legislative_Assembly_(India)) (MLA) twice from [Congress](/source/Indian_National_Congress).[1]

Furthermore, he is the son of former [Union Minister of State](/source/Union_Minister_of_State) in the [Fourth Indira Gandhi ministry](/source/Fourth_Indira_Gandhi_ministry) and senior [Indian National Congress](/source/Indian_National_Congress) leader late Dharmavir and elder brother of ex-MLA for [Soraon](/source/Soraon_Assembly_constituency), [Satyaveer Munna](/source/Satyaveer_Munna).[2]
