==Early life and career==
Temelli was born in [Istanbul](/source/Istanbul) and graduated from the branch of finance at the [Istanbul University](/source/Istanbul_University) Faculty of Economics. He later completed his [PhD](/source/PhD) there. ==Political career==
Temelli is a founding member of the [Peoples' Democratic Party](/source/Peoples'_Democratic_Party_(Turkey)) (HDP). Temelli was elected as a HDP [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament) for [Istanbul's second electoral district](/source/Istanbul_(2nd_electoral_district)) in the [June 2015 general election](/source/June_2015_Turkish_general_election). He lost his seat in the snap [November 2015 general election](/source/November_2015_Turkish_general_election).
