# Service Union United

The **Service Union United** (Finnish: *Palvelualojen ammattiliitto*, PAM; Swedish: *Servicefacket*) is a [trade union](/source/Trade_union) representing [service sector](/source/Service_sector) workers in Finland.

The union was founded in 2000, when the [Business Union](/source/Business_Union) merged with the [Caretakers' Union](/source/Caretakers'_Union), the [Hotel and Restaurant Workers' Union](/source/Hotel_and_Restaurant_Workers'_Union_(Finland)), and the [Technical and Special Trades Union](/source/Technical_and_Special_Trades_Union).[1] Like its predecessor, the union affiliated to the [Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions](/source/Central_Organisation_of_Finnish_Trade_Unions). PAM has agreed a total of 33 [collective agreements](/source/Collective_agreement) as of the end of 2022.

As of 2023, the union had about 190,000 members.[2]
