**Seniq** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): سنيق)[a] is a village in [Qarah Quyun-e Shomali Rural District](/source/Qarah_Quyun-e_Shomali_Rural_District)[4] of the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Showt_County)) in [Showt County](/source/Showt_County), [West Azerbaijan](/source/West_Azerbaijan_province) province, [Iran](/source/Iran).

## Demographics

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population, as Seneq, was 259 in 58 households, when it was in the former [Showt District](/source/Showt_District) of [Maku County](/source/Maku_County).[5] The following census in 2011 counted 265 people in 74 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of [Showt County](/source/Showt_County). The rural district was transferred to the new [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Showt_County)) and the village was listed as Seniq.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 157 people in 53 households.[2]
