**Semmenstedt** (ˈzɛmənʃtɛt) is a village and a former municipality in the [district of Wolfenbüttel](/source/Wolfenb%C3%BCttel_(district)), in [Lower Saxony](/source/Lower_Saxony), [Germany](/source/Germany). Since 1 November 2016, it is part of the municipality [Remlingen-Semmenstedt](/source/Remlingen-Semmenstedt).
