# Semitocossus

***Semitocossus johannes*** is a species of [moth](/source/Moth) of the family [Cossidae](/source/Cossidae). It is found in [Israel](/source/Israel), [Jordan](/source/Jordan), south-western [Turkey](/source/Turkey)[1] and [Saudi Arabia](/source/Saudi_Arabia).

Adults are on wing from in April, August and October in Israel.

The larvae have been recorded feeding on *[Calotropis procera](/source/Calotropis_procera)*.[2]
