His solo productions, which incorporate elements of [electronic dance music](/source/Electronic_dance_music), [hip-hop](/source/Hip_hop_music), and [rock](/source/Rock_(music)), have been used by [The Seattle Art Museum](/source/The_Seattle_Art_Museum), the Sound Unseen Film Festival in Minneapolis and for well-known television ads promoting [Hewlett-Packard](/source/Hewlett-Packard) and [Discover](/source/Discover_Card). ## History After establishing himself as a member of Seattle's [indie rock](/source/Indie_rock) scene with his band Hush Harbor,[1] scntfc became interested in the idea of using the [computer](/source/Computer) as his primary instrument. In 2001 Rohrmann formed a production company along with [Plastiq Phantom](/source/Plastiq_Phantom) named Polar Empire. They have done commercial compositions for clients such as [Nike](/source/Nike,_Inc.), [MTV](/source/MTV), [Volkswagen](/source/Volkswagen), and [AMC](/source/American_Movie_Classics). He has completed critically praised remixes for a number of [indie](/source/Indie_rock) favorites including [Modest Mouse](/source/Modest_Mouse), [764-Hero](/source/764-Hero), and [Red Stars Theory](/source/Red_Stars_Theory).
