# Schmiddis

The **Schmiddis** (also: *Schmiddisbach*) is one of the [headstreams](/source/River_source) of the river [Haslach](/source/Haslach_(Rot)). It is situated in the region of [Upper Swabia](/source/Upper_Swabia) in [Baden Württemberg](/source/Baden_W%C3%BCrttemberg), [Germany](/source/Germany).

## Geography

The Schmiddis is a small [stream](/source/Stream) which has its source in the [hamlet](/source/Hamlet_(place)) of Schmiddis near Treherz, part of the [municipality](/source/Municipalities_of_Germany) of [Aitrach](/source/Aitrach) in the [district](/source/Districts_of_Germany) of [Ravensburg](/source/Ravensburg_(district)). It runs in a northerly direction for 3 kilometres, It joins the [Rappenbach](/source/Rappenbach) at the [retention basin](/source/Retention_basin) Rappenbach, forming the river Haslach.

Two [bridges](/source/Bridge) cross the Schmiddis, one for the [state road](/source/Landesstra%C3%9Fe) 314, and a second one close to the [mouth](/source/Mouth_(water_stream)) of the stream near the retention basin Rappenbach.
