# Scheppau

**Scheppau** (ˈʃɛpaʊ) is a river of [Lower Saxony](/source/Lower_Saxony), [Germany](/source/Germany), approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) long. The Scheppau originates on the slope of the [Elm](/source/Elm_(hills)) hills and is a left tributary of the [Schunter](/source/Schunter). It flows west and north of [Königslutter](/source/K%C3%B6nigslutter) and joins the Schunter in Glentorf, between Königslutter and [Wolfsburg](/source/Wolfsburg).
