# Scheffersomyces

***Scheffersomyces*** is a genus of [yeasts](/source/Yeast) in the family Debaryomycetaceae, introduced by C. P. Kurtzman and M. Suzuki in 2010. One characteristic of these yeasts is that they form [pseudohyphae](/source/Hypha#Types).[1][2]
