One species of this genus *[Scalmatica albofasciella](/source/Scalmatica_albofasciella)* Stainton 1859 had been found boring aerial roots of *[Ficus benghalensis](/source/Ficus_benghalensis)* in [India](/source/India) and **[Scalmatica corticea](/source/Scalmatica_corticea)* Meyrick, 1925 had been reported from *[Vitis](/source/Vitis) sp.*.
