# Scalectrix

***Scalectrix*** is the debut [EP](/source/Extended_play) by Australian [post-grunge](/source/Post-grunge) band, [Gyroscope](/source/Gyroscope_(band)), and was released in April 2000.[1] The five-track EP was recorded at Revolver Studios in [Perth](/source/Perth) and engineered by Laurie Sinagra and Gav Tempany.[2] This release helped the band secure support spots with national and international touring acts, including [Millencolin](/source/Millencolin), [Bodyjar](/source/Bodyjar), [28 Days](/source/28_Days_(band)), [Unwritten Law](/source/Unwritten_Law) and [Toe To Toe](/source/Toe_To_Toe).[3]
