# Saverio Indrio

**Saverio Maria Indrio** (19 June 1963 – 30 June 2025) was an Italian voice actor. He was also active in radio and television.[1]

## Biography

Indrio was born 19 June 1963 in [Taranto](/source/Taranto), beginning his career in the entertainment world as a musician, performing as a classical guitarist. He then approached the theater, appearing in *La bottega del teatro* directed by Guglielmo Ferraiola and organized by the Teatro Abeliano in [Bari](/source/Bari).[2]

As a theatrical performer, he acted in works by [Frank Wedekind](/source/Frank_Wedekind), [Luigi Pirandello](/source/Luigi_Pirandello), [Dario Fo](/source/Dario_Fo), [Gianni Rodari](/source/Gianni_Rodari), [Oscar Wilde](/source/Oscar_Wilde) and [Anton Chekhov](/source/Anton_Chekhov).[3]

He also dubbed various actors' roles into Italian, including [Dwayne Johnson](/source/Dwayne_Johnson) and [Kevin McNally](/source/Kevin_McNally). He also voiced several cartoon characters: being the Italian voice of [Avery Bullock](/source/Avery_Bullock) from the eighth to the twentieth season of *[American Dad!](/source/American_Dad!)*, following the death of [Sergio Tedesco](/source/Sergio_Tedesco).[4] He also voiced [Sully](/source/Sulley_(Monsters,_Inc.)) in *[Monsters University](/source/Monsters_University)*, replacing [Adalberto Maria Merli](/source/Adalberto_Maria_Merli) (being the prequel to *[Monsters Inc.](/source/Monsters,_Inc.)*). In *[The Simpsons](/source/The_Simpsons),* he was the voice of [Mayor Quimby](/source/Mayor_Quimby), from the fifth to the seventh season and from the twenty-fourth to the thirty-sixth season, replacing Fabrizio Temperini.[5]

From 2011 to 2021, he voiced [William H. Macy](/source/William_H._Macy) in the television series *[Shameless](/source/Shameless_(American_TV_series))*.[6]

## Death

Indrio died suddenly in [Rome](/source/Rome), on 30 June 2025, at the age of 62.[7][8]
