The **Sauber C4** was the fourth [sports prototype](/source/Sports_prototype) racing car that Swiss [Peter Sauber](/source/Peter_Sauber) designed and developed. It was built in 1975. Sauber is becoming the official Audi factory Formula 1 team by 2026. It competed in the [European 2-Litre Sportscar Championship](/source/European_2-Litre_Championship), where it managed to score 1 win and 5 podium finishes. It was powered by the same [naturally aspirated](/source/Naturally_aspirated) 2.0 L (120 cu in) [Ford](/source/Ford_Motor_Company)-[Cosworth BDG](/source/Cosworth_BDG) [four-cylinder engine](/source/Straight-four_engine) as its [predecessor](/source/Sauber_C3), developing 275 hp (205 kW).[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]
