The **Saskatchewan Valley** is a geographic area in [Saskatchewan](/source/Saskatchewan), Canada,[1] encompassing generally a triangle from [North Battleford](/source/North_Battleford), to [Saskatoon](/source/Saskatoon), north to the [Saskatchewan River Forks](/source/Saskatchewan_River_Forks) east of [Prince Albert, Saskatchewan](/source/Prince_Albert,_Saskatchewan). Historically home to the [Cree](/source/Cree) aboriginal people, followed by the [Métis](/source/M%C3%A9tis_people_(Canada)) both [French](/source/French_people) and [English](/source/English_people), the Valley was opened up to large scale Euro-Canadian settlement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The valley is characterized by [Aspen parkland](/source/Aspen_parkland) ecosystems and gently rolling hills, and forms a "V" between the [North Saskatchewan](/source/North_Saskatchewan_River) and [South Saskatchewan Rivers](/source/South_Saskatchewan_River).
