**Sanusha Santhosh** is an Indian actress who works predominantly in [Malayalam cinema](/source/Malayalam_cinema). She started her career as a child artist to leading actress and supporting character roles. She also appears in some [Tamil](/source/Tamil_cinema), [Telugu](/source/Telugu_cinema) and [Kannada](/source/Kannada_cinema) films too.

## Early life

Sanusha was born in [Pallikunnu](/source/Pallikunnu), Kannur[2] to Usha and Santhosh. She has studied at Sreepuram School, Pallikunnu Kannur.[2] After her graduation in [BCom](/source/Bachelor_of_Commerce) from [SN College, Kannur](/source/S._N._College%2C_Kannur),[3] she did MA in [Sociology](/source/Sociology) at [St. Teresa's College](/source/St._Teresa's_College).[4] She also completed [MSc](/source/Master_of_Science) in [Global Mental Health & Society](/source/Global_mental_health) from [University of Edinburgh, Scotland](/source/University_of_Edinburgh). Sanusha has a younger brother [Sanoop Santhosh](/source/Sanoop_Santhosh), who is a child artist, known for his acting in *[Philips and the Monkey Pen](/source/Philips_and_the_Monkey_Pen)*.[5]

## Career

After performing in television serials, Sanusha started her film career in 2000 at the age of 5 with the movie *[Dada Sahib](/source/Dada_Sahib)*.[6] She became a star in Malayalam films as baby Sanusha giving stellar performances in *[Meesa Madhavan](/source/Meesa_Madhavan)*, *[Kaazhcha](/source/Kaazhcha)*, *[Mampazhakkalam](/source/Mampazhakkalam)* etc.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] She won the [Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist](/source/Kerala_State_Film_Award_for_Best_Child_Artist) in 2004 for her performances in [Kaazhcha](/source/Kaazhcha) and Soumyam.
