**Sandve**[3] is a village in [Karmøy Municipality](/source/Karm%C3%B8y_Municipality) in [Rogaland](/source/Rogaland) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). The village is located on the southwestern part of the island of [Karmøy](/source/Karm%C3%B8y_(island)), north of the town of [Skudeneshavn](/source/Skudeneshavn), and it faces the [Atlantic Ocean](/source/Atlantic_Ocean) to the west.

The 0.39-square-kilometre (96-acre) village has a population of 329 in 2025 and a [population density](/source/Population_density) of 844 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,190/sq mi).[1]

## History

During [World War II](/source/World_War_II), the [Wehrmacht](/source/Wehrmacht) bombed this village because of connections to the [Allied forces](/source/Allies_of_World_War_II).
