'''Samydaceae''' is a family of tropical and subtropical woody plants, its best known genus being ''[Casearia](/source/Casearia)''. It has always been of uncertain placement, in the past usually being submerged in the family [Flacourtiaceae](/source/Flacourtiaceae).
