# Samuelsons

**The Samuelsons** was a [country](/source/Country_music) and [gospel](/source/Gospel_music) group from [Sweden](/source/Sweden), between the 1970s and 1980s. It consisted of the brothers Rolf (1939–1981), [Kjell](/source/Kjell_Samuelson_(singer)) (born 1942), Olle (born 1950) and [Jard Samuelson](/source/Jard_Samuelson) (born 1952).

In 1966 Kjell & Rolf released the first album in America which was awarded three stars by *[Billboard](/source/Billboard_(magazine))*.[1] They soon became popular throughout Europe, Canada and the U.S.[2]

The Samuelson brothers toured in Scandinavia with [Pat Boone](/source/Pat_Boone), [Dolly Parton](/source/Dolly_Parton), [Tammy Wynette](/source/Tammy_Wynette), [Marty Robbins](/source/Marty_Robbins) and [Wanda Jackson](/source/Wanda_Jackson) and participated several times at the [Grand Ole Opry](/source/Grand_Ole_Opry) in Nashville.

On their records made in Nashville, musicians that played with [Elvis Presley](/source/Elvis_Presley), [Dolly Parton](/source/Dolly_Parton) and [Johnny Cash](/source/Johnny_Cash) participated, such as [Charlie McCoy](/source/Charlie_McCoy), [Weldon Myrick](/source/Weldon_Myrick_(musician)), [Kenny Malone](/source/Kenny_Malone), [Reggie Young](/source/Reggie_Young), [Larrie Londin](/source/Larrie_Londin), [Tony Brown](/source/Tony_Brown_(record_producer)), [Ron Oates](/source/Ron_Oates), [Bill Pursell](/source/Bill_Pursell), [Pete Wade](/source/Pete_Wade), [Harold Bradley](/source/Harold_Bradley_(guitarist)) and [Buddy Harman](/source/Buddy_Harman).

The group made over 30 albums in Swedish and English which were sold in over 1.5 million copies on their own record label Pilot Music and [Heart Warming](/source/Heart_Warming) and [Impact Records](/source/Impact_Records) in the U.S.
