'''Samuel Lowe''' (c. 1693–1731) of [Goadby Marwood](/source/Goadby_Marwood) was a British politician who sat in the [House of Commons](/source/British_House_of_Commons) from 1718 to 1731.

Lowe was the son of Henry Lowe of Goadby Marwood and his wife Elizabeth Long, daughter of Samuel Long of Jamaica, and nephew of [Charles Long](/source/Charles_Long_(1679-1723)). He matriculated at [Christ Church, Oxford](/source/Christ_Church%2C_Oxford) on  21 April 1710, aged 16 and was admitted at [Middle Temple](/source/Middle_Temple) in 1711. Lowe was appointed Comptroller of the Ordnance for Ireland in 1718 and held the post until 1730. He was elected [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament) for [Aldburgh](/source/Aldeburgh_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) as [Whig](/source/Whigs_(British_political_party)) at a by-election on 24 November 1718.<ref name = HOP1715>{{cite web| url = http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1715-1754/constituencies/aldeburgh| title= Aldeburgh| publisher= History of Parliament Online (1715-1754)| accessdate = 27 March 2019 }}</ref> He generally voted with the government.   At the general elections of  [1722](/source/1722_British_general_election) and [1727](/source/1727_British_general_election) he was returned unopposed for Aldeburgh. By this time he had gone over to support the opposition.<ref name=HOP/>

Lowe died unmarried on 19 July 1731, leaving his fortune to his two sisters, one of whom married [Theobald Taaffe](/source/Theobald_Taaffe).<ref name=HOP/>
