**Samia Said Chowdhory** (known as **Samia Said** or **Samia Sayeed**[1]) is a Bangladeshi [model](/source/Model_(person)) and actress. She was the winner of [Lux Channel I Superstar](/source/Lux_Channel_I_Superstar), the most prestigious beauty pageant in Bangladesh, was held in 2012.[2] She started her acting career with the [television drama](/source/Television_drama) *Increment* in 2012.[3][4] Said rose to prominence with her film debut in the 2018 Beglali [drama](/source/Drama_(film_and_television)) *[Komola Rocket](/source/Komola_Rocket)* directed by [Noor Imran Mithu](/source/Noor_Imran_Mithu),[5] which is an adaptation of two short stories *Moulik* and *Saipras* by Bengali writer [Shahaduz Zaman](/source/Shahaduz_Zaman).[6]

## Early life and career

Samia Said was born in South Shields, England.[7][8] She completed [O Level](/source/O_Level) from [St Francis Xavier's Green Herald International School](/source/St_Francis_Xavier's_Green_Herald_International_School), and then [A Level](/source/A_Level) from Oxford International School in Dhaka. [7] She studied [English](/source/English_studies) at [North South University](/source/North_South_University).[7][9]

The first ever music video Samia appeared in was called Anmona by Imran and Naumi.[citation needed]

In 2016, Said appeared in the music video for Khan Asifur Rahman Agun' single "Ekbaro Ki Bhebechho" from the album *Tin Tara*.[citation needed]

In 2018, she was selected to audition for the female lead in [Noor Imran Mithu](/source/Noor_Imran_Mithu)'s film *[Komola Rocket](/source/Komola_Rocket)* by its director.[10] Said won the role of a young lady Dishi, the interest of the main character Atik, played by [Tauquir Ahmed](/source/Tauquir_Ahmed).[citation needed]

Said married to Abu Safat Chowdhury on 18 April 2018.[11]
