'''Sambrasa Trio''' is a Brazilian [samba](/source/samba) and [jazz](/source/jazz) group, formed by [Hermeto Pascoal](/source/Hermeto_Pascoal) (piano and flute), [Humberto Clayber](/source/Humberto_Clayber) (bass and harmonica) and [Airto Moreira](/source/Airto_Moreira) (drums).<ref>{{Cite news |last=Fordham |first=John |date=2011-11-17 |title=Our guide to Hermeto Pascoal in clips |url=https://www.theguardian.com/music/2011/nov/17/hermeto-pascoal-our-guide-in-links |access-date=2024-02-12 |work=The Guardian |language=en-GB |issn=0261-3077}}</ref> The band started to play in 1965, but it did not last long. However, its music and Brazilian popular songs influenced many instrumental [samba](/source/samba) and [jazz](/source/jazz) musicians for years.{{Citation needed|date=December 2010}}

The band recorded only one [album](/source/album) in 1965, named ''[Em Som Maior](/source/Em_Som_Maior)''. This album was praised by critics and helped its musicians to continue their careers. After the demise of the group, none of its three members played together again. However, in pairs, they composed for other bands, after and before Sambrasa Trio, such as [Sambalanço Trio](/source/Sambalan%C3%A7o_Trio), with Clayber and Airto, and Quarteto Novo, with Hermeto and Airto. Currently, all three members follow a solo career.
