==Location==
In [Brazil](/source/Brazil), the fossil species ''S. gigas'', ''S. kurtzii'', ''S. millaniana'', ''S. rigbyi'' and ''S. seixasi'', have been recovered from the city of [Mariana Pimentel](/source/Mariana_Pimentel), in the state of [Rio Grande do Sul](/source/Rio_Grande_do_Sul).  The fossils are found in the ''Morro Papaléo'' outcrop, [Rio Bonito Formation](/source/Rio_Bonito_Formation) and date from the [Sakmarian](/source/Sakmarian) stage in the [Permian](/source/Permian). Located in the geopark Paleorrota.
