Sam Pluta is an American [composer](/source/composer), [sound artist](/source/sound_artist), and performer of [electronic music](/source/electronic_music). He currently teaches in the Computer Music department at the [Peabody Institute](/source/Peabody_Institute).

==Early life and education==
After graduating from high school in [Portsmouth, New Hampshire](/source/Portsmouth%2C_New_Hampshire), Pluta completed his undergraduate studies at [Santa Clara University](/source/Santa_Clara_University). Pluta is a composer, electronics performer, and technical director for Wet Ink Ensemble.
