**Samuel J Nogajski** (born 1 January 1979) is an Australian [cricket umpire](/source/Umpire_(cricket)). He stood as an umpire in the [2016–17 Ranji Trophy](/source/2016%E2%80%9317_Ranji_Trophy) in [India](/source/India).

## Career

Until 2012, Nogajski was a maths teacher at [The Hutchins School](/source/The_Hutchins_School).[1][2] In 2012, he became part of the National Umpire Panel.[1]

In 2016, Nogajski became part of [Cricket Australia](/source/Cricket_Australia)'s international panel of umpires.[1]

Nogajski stood in his first [Twenty20 International](/source/Twenty20_International) (T20I) on 19 February 2017, in the match between [Australia and Sri Lanka](/source/Sri_Lankan_cricket_team_in_Australia_in_2016%E2%80%9317) at [Kardinia Park](/source/Kardinia_Park_(stadium)), [Geelong](/source/Geelong).[3][4] He made his [One Day International](/source/One_Day_International) (ODI) umpiring debut on 6 October 2017, in the match between [Papua New Guinea](/source/Papua_New_Guinea_national_cricket_team) and [Scotland](/source/Scotland_national_cricket_team) in the [2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship](/source/2015%E2%80%9317_ICC_World_Cricket_League_Championship).[5]

In October 2018, Nogajski was named as one of the [twelve on-field umpires](/source/2018_ICC_Women's_World_Twenty20#Umpires) for the [2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20](/source/2018_ICC_Women's_World_Twenty20).[6] In October 2019, he was appointed as one of the twelve umpires to officiate matches in the [2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier](/source/2019_ICC_T20_World_Cup_Qualifier) tournament in the United Arab Emirates.[7] In January 2020, he was named as one of the sixteen umpires for the [2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup](/source/2020_Under-19_Cricket_World_Cup) tournament in South Africa.[8]
