# Sam Morley

**Samuel Robertson Morley** (May 12, 1932 - January 25, 2014) was an American professional [football](/source/American_football) [end](/source/End_(American_football)) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL) for the [Washington Redskins](/source/Washington_Commanders). He played [college football](/source/College_football) at [Stanford University](/source/Stanford_University) and was [drafted](/source/NFL_Draft) in the 20th round of the [1954 NFL draft](/source/1954_NFL_draft).

After his NFL career, Morley became a family law attorney. He died on January 25, 2014, of congestive heart failure.[2]
