For the genus of plants, see [Saltia (plant)](/source/Saltia_(plant)).

This article is about a biological classification. For the place in Australia, see [Saltia, South Australia](/source/Saltia,_South_Australia).

***Saltia*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of [moths](/source/Moth) of the family [Noctuidae](/source/Noctuidae), endemic to the high mountains of East Africa.

## Species

Two species have been described, both collected by [George Salt](/source/George_Salt) in 1948:

- *[Saltia acrophylax](/source/Saltia_acrophylax)* Tams, 1952 (Kilimanjaro)
- *[Saltia edwardsi](/source/Saltia_edwardsi)* Tams, 1952 (Mount Elgon)

There is a third form on [Mount Kenya](/source/Mount_Kenya), likely a third species, with one specimen in the [National Museums of Kenya](/source/National_Museums_of_Kenya). This, and the above-named collections by Salt, appear to be the only collection of this genus.
