She appeared in *[Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets](/source/Harry_Potter_and_the_Chamber_of_Secrets_(film))*, where she played [Madame Pince](/source/Madame_Pince), the librarian of [Hogwarts](/source/Hogwarts).

## Career

Mortemore first worked in theatre as an acting [assistant stage manager](/source/Assistant_stage_manager) at the [Queen's Theatre](/source/Queen's_Theatre%2C_Hornchurch) in [Hornchurch](/source/Hornchurch)[1] followed by seasons at the [Haymarket Theatre](/source/Haymarket_Theatre) in [Basingstoke](/source/Basingstoke), [Watford](/source/Watford)'s Palace Theatre, [Bolton](/source/Bolton)'s [Octagon Theatre](/source/Octagon_Theatre%2C_Bolton) and the [Churchill Theatre](/source/Churchill_Theatre) in [Bromley](/source/Bromley), London.
