# Sakura Tower

**Sakura Tower** is a 20-story modern office building in [Kyauktada Township](/source/Kyauktada_Township), [Yangon](/source/Yangon), [Myanmar](/source/Myanmar). The 100 m (328 ft) tower was completed by [Japanese contractors](/source/Construction_industry_of_Japan) in 1999[1] and had been the [tallest building in Myanmar](/source/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Myanmar) from 1999 to 2016.[note 1]

It stands opposite to [Sule Shangri-La Hotel](/source/Sule_Shangri-La_Hotel) across the [Sule Pagoda Road](/source/Sule_Pagoda_Road).

Yangon Japanese Association resides on the 12th floor.[2]
