# Sadao Bekku

**Sadao Bekku** (別宮貞雄, *Bekku Sadao*) was a Japanese classical composer. His works include five [symphonies](/source/Symphony), [film scores](/source/Film_score), a [flute sonata](/source/Flute_sonata), a [piano concerto](/source/Piano_concerto), [choral](/source/Choral) work and [art songs](/source/Art_song), and the [opera](/source/Opera), *[Prince Arima](/source/Prince_Arima)*.

His work took strong influence from [jazz](/source/Jazz). His best-known works include the film score *[Matango](/source/Matango)* (1963).
