# Saba Sadiq

**Saba Sadiq** (; born 7 January 1966) is a [Pakistani politician](/source/Pakistani_politician) who is a Member of the [Provincial Assembly of the Punjab](/source/Provincial_Assembly_of_the_Punjab), from 2002 to 2023, and former minister. Currently serving as an member of National Assembly Of Pakistan

## Early life and education

She was born on 7 January 1966 in [Lahore](/source/Lahore).[1]

She earned the degree of Bachelor of Laws in 1991 and received the degree of Master of Arts in [Political Science](/source/Political_Science) in 2001, both from [University of the Punjab](/source/University_of_the_Punjab).[1][2]

She also holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts.[2]

## Political career

She was elected to the [Provincial Assembly of the Punjab](/source/Provincial_Assembly_of_the_Punjab) as a candidate of [Pakistan Muslim League (Q)](/source/Pakistan_Muslim_League_(Q)) (PML-Q) on a reserved seat for women in the [2002 Pakistani general election](/source/2002_Pakistani_general_election).[2]

She was re-elected to the [Provincial Assembly of the Punjab](/source/Provincial_Assembly_of_the_Punjab) as a candidate of PML-Q on a reserved seat for women in the [2008 Pakistani general election](/source/2008_Pakistani_general_election).[3] She joined [Pakistan Muslim League (N)](/source/Pakistan_Muslim_League_(N)) (PML-N) shortly afterwards.[4]

She was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N on a reserved seat for women in the [2013 Pakistani general election](/source/2013_Pakistani_general_election).[5][6]

She was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N on a reserved seat for women in the [2018 Pakistani general election](/source/2018_Pakistani_general_election).[7]
